Ontario Paralegal Licensing Examination

Practise the paralegal exam the way you will sit it.

Full-length timed mock exams and untimed subject quizzes, written for the paralegal paper, with a report after every sitting that tells you what to study next rather than just a score.

Written by the LexPD team. Independent of the Law Society of Ontario.

The paper, as the Law Society describes it

  • One paper, 160 multiple-choice questions
  • 4 hours 30 minutes
  • Open book, print materials only
  • Sections by area of law, with case-based questions
  • Three attempts per licensing term

Our mock exams follow that format: 160 questions organised into sections by area of law, with case-based questions, under a 4.5-hour timer. Our quizzes are untimed and built for study.

Exams and quizzes

Every product is a unique question base. Nothing repeats between a mock and a quiz, or between two mocks. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus HST, and checkout is on the LexPD store.

How it works

1

Buy on the LexPD store

Choose a mock exam, a quiz pack or the complete collection. Checkout is on lexpd.ca, LexPD's store for all of its exam preparation.

2

Sign in with your checkout email

Your exams are waiting on your dashboard at app.ontariobarexam.com, the platform LexPD built for Ontario's licensing examinations. Nothing to activate.

3

Sit it, then read the report

Start whenever you are ready; the timer begins when you do. On submitting you get your score at once and a report that ranks what to work on first.

Reporting no other prep tool gives you.

A licensing result gives you a pass or a fail and almost nothing about why. Our reporting engine was built to answer the questions that matter while there is still time to act.

  • What to work on first

Every report opens with a ranked study list, ordered by the marks actually at stake on your paper, not just your lowest percentage.

  • Two dimensions, and the cross-section

Your answers by competency category and by area of law, and where the two meet, so a weak subject narrows to a weak skill inside it.

  • The marks you cannot find on your own

The questions you answered quickly, never flagged, and got wrong. You were sure of them, which is exactly why reviewing would not find them.

Explanations unlock at 55%. That is our own threshold, not a passing standard, because the Law Society does not publish one. Below it you still see every question you missed and the area of law and competency each one tested.
