Who is behind ParalegalExam.ca

ParalegalExam.ca is run by LexPD, an Ontario tutoring company that has prepared licensing candidates since 2015. This page says who we are, how the practice exams are made, and what we are not.

LexPD

LexPD was incorporated in 2015 to prepare candidates for Ontario’s licensing examinations, through live courses, one-to-one tutoring and practice exams. We also run OntarioBarExam.com for lawyer licensing candidates. ParalegalExam.ca is the same team and the same platform, built for the Paralegal Licensing Exam (P1). Our courses and tutoring are at lexpd.ca.

How the practice exams are made

Every question is our own. None is taken from the Law Society’s study materials or from a past examination. Questions follow the format the Law Society describes for the P1: a short scenario, four options and one best answer, across the areas of law and the competencies it publishes. Each question is reviewed and approved by LexPD tutors before it goes live, and you can report any question from inside an exam, which sends it back to us for another look.

Independent of the Law Society

We are an independent exam preparation company. ParalegalExam.ca is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the Law Society of Ontario, which sets the licensing examination. Our practice exams are for self-assessment, and no score on them is a licensing result. For the examination itself, the Law Society’s own pages are the authority, and our guide to the P1 links to each of them.
